Silly Lily Foundation

The Silly Lily Foundation is a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals of all ages impacted by chronic illness by delivering comfort, connection, and courage in a variety of ways. It was recently founded by Madison Holden, a local young woman who realized how isolating chronic illness can be after navigating her own journey with many complex chronic illnesses. As a former teacher, she combined her love for children, storytelling, and advocacy to create a foundation to help others feel less alone and more hopeful.

Madison wrote two books, “Silly Lily and Her Feeding Tube” and “Silly Lily and Her Magical Port.” These books are designed for chronically ill children, emphasizing themes such as resilience, emotional health, and self-worth. They are donated to chronically and terminally ill children globally.

In addition to the books, The Silly Lily Foundation offers care packages to children fighting cancer, chronic illness, and terminal illness. Wishes are granted regardless of age since cancer, chronic illness, and terminal illness do not discriminate based on age. There are bereavement care packages for parents as well. Holiday gifts are distributed in hospitals during the holiday season. Online resources are provided for teachers and caregivers to help enhance their support and inclusion of medically complex children.  Community events provide an opportunity for others to help the Silly Lily Foundation’s cause.

Join us as we assist the Silly Lily Foundation’s mission to support and encourage anyone with life-altering illness. Please visit sillylilyfoundation.org for information regarding resources, volunteering, donating, care packages, books, wish requests, Amazon Wishlist, and student internships.
